The African Continent, today, is plagued with disastrous conditions; both natural and man-made. And, as a result of the unbearable challenges from the unsavory circumstances wrought upon the populations of those beleaguered nations and others ravaged by diseases to epidemic standpoints are left to suffer for lack of basic necessities – such as food, clothing and shelter – for their mere survival.

In most cases, either through the ravages of war or natural disasters – such as hurricanes, cyclones, earthquakes and draughts – the land they occupy is simply not able to help provide their daily needs. Hence, starvation and hunger have become inseparably dual contributions to their ultimate demise. Presently, besides the scourge of HIV/AIDS, malaria, typhoid and tuberculosis almost jointly threaten to wipe out entire and communities, villages and tribes into total extinction.

There is no doubt, therefore, that unless we pay immediate and serious attention to the severe plight of our destitute and suffering African brothers and sisters … not in mere sympathetic thoughts and in fervent prayers, but in the most practical and tangible ways … their ill fate and potential doom will rest on our conscience to our own detriment.

During the twelve calendar months of 2008, CHES-International will be engaged in a marathon membership registration drive, world-wide. This important and major exercise will not merely concentrate on new registration but, most importantly, provide a vehicle whereby individuals of all nationalities; irrespective of political and religious affiliation, race, social status, etc.; will be afforded the opportunity to help the society meet its targeted objective.

In a very direct way, everyone joining the society will, through their registration fee, be making a financial contribution towards the program.

25% of each individual’s registration fee will go directly towards the program.

Besides food and shelter, medicinal items are in very urgent need in these nations.

In countries where malaria is steadily becoming something of a nightmare, bedroom nets are in grave demands.

Therefore, the monies allocated for this program will go towards meeting the costs of these badly needed items.

CHES-International will not be working in isolation.  

We will work in collaboration with the KAY MORRIS FOUNDATION.  

In addition, committees will be established in targeted regions/areas in every nation covered to coordinate efforts and supervise the distribution of items provided.  

Monthly bulletins will be circulated in order to acquaint every one of developments in every sphere of this major undertaking. This will, of course, include statement on new membership and financial status.
