The Caribtempo zoning system offers choice!  

From the current selection of zones, the record producer and / or distributor …. the recording artiste and / or agent are free to select the zone OR zones considered most beneficial in relation to the artiste’s music genre orientation.  

Each zone represents either a country or bloc of countries with some existing unified framework; example: the Caribbean or the EU. However, in the latter case, the question of a country’s population will, most definitely, help determine the category under which such a unit may be placed.  

Zones, in addition, represent an integral part of the Caribtempo promotion / publicity package. Hence, in both “C-A-R” and “C-E-P” plans, both POOL and ZONES collectively form the basis of the overall services spectrum.  

As stipulated under the “C-A-R” and “C-E-P” plans; scope, fee and basis of artiste representation differ significantly. However, the POOL and ZONE elements of the programme bear no difference.

Determining the choice of ZONE(S) is the most important step in the process; because each zone is made up of a number of outlets and contacts on which to work upon.  

A zone; therefore; consists of a number of (a) radio stations, (b) television networks, (c) newspaper and magazine publishers, (d) D-J’s, (e) Caribtempo Representatives in the zone location and, in the case of the “C-A-R” plan, (f) record shops and (g) music-oriented societies and/or organizations.

In pursuant of its aspirations and commitments to all those represented, Caribtempo; in general; seeks and secures working relations with MUSIC POOLS operational in other countries. This exercise, which comes at a cost to Caribtempo, does not, however, incur any burdens or increase in standard fees to the registered artiste.
